The Citizenship Literature Contest has been changed to Oct. 3-7^th

The purpose of this competition is to help students strengthen their character and values, and reinforces virtues such as respect, honesty, integrity and citizenship.

This year’s theme, “I am a Good Citizen Because . . .” will allow the students to use their creativity, so encourage them to use their thoughts and feelings. The theme should be reflected in the student’s work. The content of the piece could encompass an event that has happened in the past, what is currently happening or something in the future that will have a positive impact on the community or the world. Students’ interpretation of the theme is endless!   

Everyone is eligible to enter from every grade! Be original, be creative and have fun when writing. There will be winners from the school, county and statewide levels.

The contest rules and entry forms are at legislation@sccpta.org or email Jennifer Hill at tippenshill@hotmail.com or 428-1357. Entries can be sent to the front office. They are due to Jennifer by Friday, October 7^th.
