The Boosterthon Fun Run program is a healthy alternative to traditional product sales to raise much-needed funds for our school and many others across America. The program also promotes three specific values during the nine day fun-filled program: Fitness, Leadership, and Character.
This year’s character theme is
EPIC ADVENTURE
The word "EPIC" is an acronym with each letter representing an Adventure Action.
Students will learn four specific ways to be a great teammate:
E- Encourage – Team members build each other up with their words and never tear anyone down.
P- Play – It’s important for teams to exercise and play together outside, building friendships on the playground and in the neighborhood.
I- Invite –Sometimes people may be outsiders or feel excluded from the group. Great teams see others on the sidelines and invite them into the group.
C- Celebrate – Celebrating other’s victories is so important. Team members are not jealous of other’s successes; they celebrate with them and should applaud everyone’s accomplishments
Boosterthon Fun Run Basics
- The event will kick off with a 30 minute school-wide Pep Rally on NOVEMBER 1st and conclude on NOVEMBER 10th with the Boosterthon Fun Run event.
- Students get pledges towards the number of laps they will run at the Boosterthon Fun Run.
- Every studentparticipates in the Fun Run, regardless of pledges raised, and receives a “Boosterthon All-Star” t-shirt.
- Enter your pledges at funrun.com. Each student has his/her own safe and secure Boosterthon Fun Run webpage to log in pledges and watch character videos.
- All pledges are tax-deductible!
- The Boosterthon Fun Run Team spends 200-300 hours organizing the event, freeing up our teachers and administrators to focus on education!
