The PTA Lion Tales Newsletter Is Going Weekly!!!

If you haven't already heard, a change is coming to how the LES PTA communicates with LES parents and we want to make sure that everyone is aware of what changes you’ll see and what you need to do to be a part of it!!

Our current method of communication is one that requires our teachers to forward PTA communications to the parents via email. We’d like for all of our wonderful teachers to be able to focus their email communications on topics that relate more specifically to what’s going on in their classrooms and with our children’s education.

However, the PTA still has lots to communicate about all of the wonderful PTA programs, events, meetings, fundraisers, etc… In order to do this, we’ve decided to enlist the services of an Elist Management Company that will provide a secure 3rd level domain which will allow us to directly email you all of the information that you need!

 What will change?

 First of all, the January 2012 issue of the Lion Tales was the last monthly edition that you’ll receive.

Secondly, we will begin sending out “Lion Tales: A PTA Weekly News Brief for Lakeland Elementary” starting at the end of January. We plan to send out this weekly update every Friday so that you’ll know everything that you need to know about the coming week!

What do you need to do?

If you included your email address on the blue membership form when you signed up as a PTA member, then you shouldn’t need to do anything. All email addresses that we received through our membership drive will be added and you’ll begin receiving emails from the PTA.

If you did not include your email address on the membership form or you’re not a PTA member (it’s never too late…you can still join!) then you’ll simply need to add your email address to begin receiving emails. To do this, just go to the website link http://lakeland.ptaemail.com and enter your name and email address…it’s quick and easy and will keep you informed!!!

 What won’t change?

We will continue to have all of our information on the PTA website at www.lakelandpta.com and we will also continue to update our ‘Lakeland PTA’ Facebook Page.

We’d like to thank you all in advance for your support and assistance as we “roll out” this wonderful new way to better communicate with all of the fantastic parents of LES!!!

The LES PTA Facebook page has regular updates on current news and events that are posted throughout the week.

PTA Purposes
